Now, six days until Christmas, you feel the excitement building in our world. Everyone is talking about it. Jesus birth is trending around the world. The anticipation of something really big about to happen.
All of creation is standing at attention. The stars are brighter, the snow flakes fall gently on the ground, while the cattle and sheep are lowing in the pasture. It just feels right. We feel joy and wonder of His birth. Churches rehearse music, while Deck the Halls plays on KLOVE. Cooks and chefs line up ingredients in the kitchen for festivity. Travel agencies, car rentals, hotels, and restaurants are making final plans for families to be reunited.
Everyone is checking their lists, checking it twice. Christmas is the most wonderful time of year. Come and join us online and in person as we share the joy and celebration of Journey Christmas 2024. Bring a friend and share the blessing of worship together at Christmas.
This weekend at Journey Community Christian Church we have one final message from our Christmas series, The Name Says It All. Our text each weekend has been the words of the prophet Isaiah, 700 years before Jesus birth.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 NIV
We are blessed in so many ways. If we have good health this year, family members nearby, food and shelter for being warm, opportunities ahead in a New Year, we shout Glory to God in the Highest.
Before closing the book on 2024 come and share Peace on Earth, our final message. Baby Jesus, born in Bethlehem, Savior of the world. Jesus changes everything.
