Are you known as a patient person? Yes or No? When did you first realize your tilt was leaning toward patience? Impatience? Are you persistent? Yes or No? How do patience and persistence work together?  These are all great questions. We can be hard to work with on projects. Sometimes it may be needed. We have high standards? Ok. Other times, maybe we’re just difficult to get along with.

We are all just people. We have different styles to embrace when making decisions. How might we best manage our unique differences as people? And still make great decisions and choices throughout life? And not be constantly upset and angry with people?

For life to work best, we have to admit we need each other. This weekend at Journey Church we jump into Galatians Ch 6:1-10 and reveal two suggestions for partnering together when possible.

Here is a teaser from this part of our message for the weekend. If you are having a difficult time getting along at home, work, or with a neighbor, check this out.

“So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we do not give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.”  Galatians 6:9-10 MSG

Guys, we have to learn HOW to get along better in the world. We really are better together. This is true in politics and parenting. This is true for people across the table eating meals with us and those living far away. If you are ready for a few tips for putting aside our differences and learning to get along, this part of our current series, FREE will really be relevant.

Jesus doesn’t ask us for a miracle. He is our miracle. He does expect us to try to improve. We must go the extra mile (Jesus would) - hoping to make things better in our personal relationships - with God and with people. If it were easy everybody would do it. Ask God for help. Go God!

Just like cars and trucks we drive each day needing regular maintenance, so do people. Vehicles are composed of numerous and various parts, each connected to and dependent on the other. If we let a few screws/bolts work loose, somehow, falling out from the engine, big trouble is ahead. Our new fancy SUV comes to a sudden halt on the side of the road.

People need regular checkups too. Jump inside a church gathering new you soon as you can. Ask God to help you tighten a few loose ends in relationships. Our sweet spot is linking up with God and others on our journey down highways of life. Work together, helping one anther, being good neighbors in the neighborhood.

Tell them where you get you oil changed. Then tell them where you go to worship God. Save them a seat. We are better together. Go God.
