The Denver Nuggets were just crowned 2023 NBA Finals Champions. Checking the box score and looking at the numbers the best team won the series. The one-two punch of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray were more than good enough for the win over the Miami Heat. This was the Nuggets 1st NBA Finals Championship. How did they do it? Denver has been building and developing a Championship run, using the NBA draft and player trades for a decade. This basketball organization seems to have discovered their formula for success.

Or let me say it like this: Are we living a VIRTUOUS life - to continue our winning ways? Being the best version (virtuous) of ourselves takes great planning and then commitment to the plan. Like winning NBA championships, find your great plan and stick to the plan for long periods.
Last weekend Journey Church launched a brand new summer series, FORGOTTEN VIRTUES. For five weeks we examine virtues many have walked away from, or never learned. By the numbers we examine: honor, purity, loyalty, integrity, and gratitude.
God promises to HELP us develop a successful plan for life. When we look inside the Bible we discover key factors which HELP predict our successes like statistics in a box score of an NBA basketball game. The team which scores the most points and gets the most rebounds usually will win the game. I believe when we consistently practice virtuous living (like the five topics in this series) we will find more success in life (become better human beings each day).
This weekend is Father’s Day and we share HELPFUL insights for becoming your best person and “Best Dad Ever.” We’ll have some good food on the Journey Coffee Bar and share a treat to take home.
